You can even link the SwitchLincs to a LampLinc (sold separately) to turn on a plug-in lamp when you turn on the switched light. You can even link two SwitchLincs together to control a single light from two different locations, like standard 3-way switches normally located at the top and bottom of the stairs, without using the traveler wire. The INSTEON Wire-in Dimmer Scene Lighting Starter Kit's switches can control incandescent bulbs, low-voltage halogen (e.g. track), and other low-voltage lights with magnetic or dimmable electronic transformers. If you need to control a fluorescent light fixture or a non-dimmable appliance, use an INSTEON SwitchLinc Relay (Non-Dimming), the perfect addition to your starter kit.
