This prefinished red oak nosing is typically used where the top riser meets a landing or the upper level flooring. The front rounded edge of the nosing is one inch thick to match the front profile of the stair treads. It is 0.75 In. thick on the back edge to meet most floorings or carpeting. It is an optional piece which may not be needed in all installations and is typically chosen in the same specie and color as the treads and risers.
